St George and Sutherland Anglers Club and the Corona Virus Due to the ongoing Government response to the Corona Virus situation and in the interests of the health of our members the Committee has decided on the following actions. 1. Cancellation of all club meetings until at least the end of June when the Committee will review the situation The Club ramp will stay open for now. This may change depending on what further restriction are imposed by the Government. When using the ramp, it is expected that the current social distancing rules will be adhered to. Please do not gather at the ramp in large numbers. When using the ramp area launch your boat or retrieve your boat and leave the area. If there more than 4 members cleaning fish at the cleaning tables, please wait until a member leaves then clean your fish. The Committee will be monitoring the use of the ramp and cleaning facilities and will not hesitate to close the facilities should social distancing rules not be adhered to. The Committee is committed to ensure that members can still keep fishing whilst the government still allows us to. We are also want to ensure members still feel part of a fishing club. To ensure you get your regular fishing club fix the club will: - a) Still send you the monthly magazine. If you wish to receive the magazine via email rather than post just contact us at contact@stgeorgeanglers.com and we will send you a copy. Keep sending us pictures of your fish and stories for our magazine. If there are topics you would like us to discuss or inform people of please send these in to contact@stgeorgeanglers.com.au . In these uncertain times when we are being separated from not only our fishing buddies but also family and friends it is important that we support each other in anyway we can and our shared love of fishing is one way we can do that. Stay Healthy The Committee |
